I DON’T GIVE A S*** HOW MUCH YOU CHARGE FOR YOUR SERVICES.
Let me be crystal clear about that first.
With that said, as I continue to witness bullies on the social media playground berating and blasting others about what rates are too low from the comfort of their keyboards, I decided enough is enough.
To start…there are other marketing coaches out there. Good ones. With good intentions and good information. Some charge a fraction of what I charge. And guess what? They are a part of my network. I have a professional dialogue with them. I even REFER some of MY clients to them! I don’t begrudge them or ANYONE who utilizes their services. I have no concerns that their lower rates will drive down the rates for the rest of the coaching industry.
So voice talent. . .do yourself a favor. . .understand there’s no such thing as a “non-union standard.” That phrase is an oxymoron. Unless you’re SAG or AFTRA, you may charge as much or as little as what works FOR YOU. If you can get 5K for a :30, good on ya! If your business model accepts any portion of that to do the same work, that’s fine too!
And if you don’t like that. . .TOUGH. Pick up the phone and pick on someone your own size. As the shirt says, “I’ll be your huckleberry.”
